Devon Baldwin Inspired

Devon Baldwin Inspired

Devon Baldwin Inspired by lilyblack567 featuring a cuff bracelet

I love Devon Baldwin. She is a true beauty and I'm envious of her sense of style. Long mermaid hair, a skinny figure, and a kick ass leather jacket she is the girl to admire. To top it all off she has an amazing voice. I tried to set up an outfit that reminded me of her. Hello lace, maxi skirt, and statement earrings!!!
Check out her Instagram and Twitter
So you can get an idea of her voice.

Trench Coats

I AM SO EXCITED FOR TRENCH COAT SEASON!!!!! Early Spring is the perfect time for them, and I am found one last year in France, it was probably my favorite purchase. They are just so simple, and a classic piece that everyone should have. They are GREAT!!
The photo taken off of my Instagram
I like to tie it into a bow or just wear it open.
Been swooing over this one at the J.Crew Factory

What do you think of the trench coat?

Black Flats

Two years ago my mom got me a pair of Lucky Brand ballet flats and they became the shoe. I always wore them, and basically just lived in them. They were neutral and sooooo comfy. Now I feel like I have to retire them, and move along. However I'm over the brown color and want to move onto black. I feel like the black makes it more edgy, and I am trying to get away from that "clean cut" look. Lucky Brand makes my flats in a black color so I will most likely just get those, but Urban Outfitters has a lot of choices too that I am liking too.

Any suggestions? Which ones shall I get?

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is a great night to get all dressed up and just look pretty. This is what I will be wearing on Friday night, a simple black dress, a pop of color with the shoes, and some pearls.

Valentine's Day- Just another day

Ahhhhh, Valentine's Day. I have such a love-hate relationship with Valentine's Day and basically just the whole two weeks leading up to it. Last year I had some guy get me flowers, and some earrings, the whole nine yards basically, and it was GREAT!!! I want to sit here and tell you that it is a horrible holiday this year and since I'm single, however that isn't fair. Yes, I'm upset every year when it rolls around because I don't get a dozen roses, and a fancy dinner. Yes, I do think it as a "stupid" day, but I know that one year I will have someone, and then it won't seem so stupid anymore. Quite frankly I enjoy not having someone right now, and being single is fine with me.
Valentine's Day is just another day.
I think the thing I LOVE about Valentine's Day is that everyone around me is happy. I have two best friends, and they both get flowers and special treatment on Valentine's day from their boyfriends. I see how happy they are, and I enjoy seeing that. Next my parents have spent almost 36 Valentine's Days together and every year my dad still spoils my mom each year. And my sister even is happy now when February 14th rolls around. It's a GREAT day when the people around you enjoy it.
Now, I may just sound optimistic (which is rare for me) but it makes sense. Why should I be upset I don't have someone when everyone else around me is happy? Plus I'm not always alone, my mom ALWAYS gives me a card, and that is enough for me. It's just one day.
I try to see everyone point of view to the best of my ability, and when Valentine's day comes I'm happy for everyone else because I know how happy they are.  Valentine's day is an amazing day if you let it be.

Valentine's Day gifts for her

It wouldn't be fair if I did a post on a guy's gift guide and not do one for the girls. Truth be told, girls aren't too hard to please. Just listen and she usually tells you what she wants. However, it's a smaller holiday so a smaller gift will work. Sometimes roses and candy are all you need, but here are some more ideas for the guy who wants to go above and beyond.
Kiel James Patrick again, just like for the guys, these bracelets are perfect. They have a wide selection for every girl. The Vickers' bows are adorable, and are sure to become her new favorite accessory.
Tory Burch earrings  are so simple and classic. They remind a lot of pearl earrings, these are to go-to earring for any girl.
Vintage jewelry, you can never go wrong with this. With the vintage jewelry you need to hunt for it. There is this little vintage store called Bygons about 20 minutes from me and I swoon over everything. After you have found something for her, it shows that you went hunting for it, and you really did put some thought into it.
J.Crew jewelry, last year I had a guy get me a pair of earrings from J.Crew and they were amazing!!! Everything J.Crew has is well made, and it holds up nicely. They also have pieces that can be worn with almost anything. From the gold bangle set, to some pearl earrings you are sure to find something.
Anthropologie Decor is amazing. It is so colorful and I can only hope to own everything from it one day. From coffee mugs, to decorative plates, to a flirty apron, it is all sooooooo perfect!!! They too have a wide selection of jewelry too if you want to check it out.

These are my picks for Valentine's Day! What would you give her?

Valentine's Day gifts for him

Okay, let's face it, Valentine's day is right around the corner, and shopping for a guy is hard. They are all so picky and it's hard to please them sometimes. I've picked up a few tips from my mom, and my sister for what are "good" gifts. Whether it be a boyfriend, husband or just a friend these are what I have picked out.
The trick is to get them something they will use, something personal, and something that actually means something to them. I've had to get gifts for a few boys before and each time I made sure I really put some thought into it. I want to give them something they will enjoy. Unlike the time I had some guy give me a candle and a gift-card to my least favorite place. That was awkward exchanging gifts.
Anyways here are my picks for your special guy on Valentine's Day.

Smathers&Branson has a wide selection of needle-point accessories. I was first introduced to this brand from a friend who owns a few belts from them.  From belts, to wallets, and hats, you are sure to find the perfect gift. They have such a wide variety of patterns you WILL find something to match his style/ personality. You're able to monogram it too, just so you can make it more personal.
Kiel James Patrick bracelets , for the guy who has a love for the sea and summer, this is for him. It is so simple and classic he can't get upset. They hold up nicely, and are so simplistic it will never go out of style.
Sweaters, at least in Virginia, February is still a month of sweaters and layers. A sweater is something every classic guy should have. J.Crew has a wide selection, and most them are so light-weight it can be worn into early spring. Who doesn't love sweaters?!
Colorful pants, every preppy guy likes to add some color to their wardrobe. I have a friend who basically owns every color of the rainbow, but he always says he can have more. J.Crew and Brooks Brothers have wide selections.
Vineyard Vines shep shirt for any preppy guy. These are so well made and very comfortable. They might be more than what you want to spend on Valentine's Day but he is sure to love it.
High Cotton, this has been my place for last minute gifts. They have very nice t-shirts that I have given away a few times, but their bow-ties are what to get. They too have a wide variety and selection to help you find the perfect one.
Proper Kid Problems who originally started out on Twitter, started his own shop and ranges from t-shirts to bow ties too. If your guy has any idea of who he is he will enjoy a gift from his shop. The bow-ties can even be monogrammed, so it goes back to the idea of the gift being personal.

Hope I could help out! What do you usually pick out for Valentine's day?
