Okay, let's face it, Valentine's day is right around the corner, and shopping for a guy is hard. They are all so picky and it's hard to please them sometimes. I've picked up a few tips from my mom, and my sister for what are "good" gifts. Whether it be a boyfriend, husband or just a friend these are what I have picked out.
The trick is to get them something they will use, something personal, and something that actually means something to them. I've had to get gifts for a few boys before and each time I made sure I really put some thought into it. I want to give them something they will enjoy. Unlike the time I had some guy give me a candle and a gift-card to my least favorite place. That was awkward exchanging gifts.
Anyways here are my picks for your special guy on Valentine's Day.
Smathers&Branson has a wide selection of needle-point accessories. I was first introduced to this brand from a friend who owns a few belts from them. From belts, to wallets, and hats, you are sure to find the perfect gift. They have such a wide variety of patterns you WILL find something to match his style/ personality. You're able to monogram it too, just so you can make it more personal.
Kiel James Patrick bracelets , for the guy who has a love for the sea and summer, this is for him. It is so simple and classic he can't get upset. They hold up nicely, and are so simplistic it will never go out of style.
Sweaters, at least in Virginia, February is still a month of sweaters and layers. A sweater is something every classic guy should have. J.Crew has a wide selection, and most them are so light-weight it can be worn into early spring. Who doesn't love sweaters?!
Colorful pants, every preppy guy likes to add some color to their wardrobe. I have a friend who basically owns every color of the rainbow, but he always says he can have more.
J.Crew and
Brooks Brothers have wide selections.
Vineyard Vines shep shirt for any preppy guy. These are so well made and very comfortable. They might be more than what you want to spend on Valentine's Day but he is sure to love it.
High Cotton, this has been my place for last minute gifts. They have very nice t-shirts that I have given away a few times, but their bow-ties are what to get. They too have a wide variety and selection to help you find the perfect one.
Proper Kid Problems who originally started out on
Twitter, started his own shop and ranges from t-shirts to bow ties too. If your guy has any idea of who he is he will enjoy a gift from his shop. The bow-ties can even be monogrammed, so it goes back to the idea of the gift being personal.
Hope I could help out! What do you usually pick out for Valentine's day?
